This picture was taken downtown Cleveland on West 6th street in May of 2007. I was home from California for a week visiting some friends and family and it could not of come at a better time. It was the week of the NBA Eastern Championships. The Cavs beat out the Pistons in the series winning it in six games. They made it to the finals where they got swept by the San Antonio Spurs, again we won't go there! Even though I am flicking this poor Pistons fan off in this photo I really liked her. Her and a group of friends drove down from Detroit just to watch this game at a bar in Cleveland. That's a good fan, a fan that wants to be in the playoff atmosphere. Even though it was in Cleveland and some drunk guy at Panini's on West 6th was yelling really nasty profanities to her, she took it with a grain of salt. She just wanted to represent her hometown team, and I can respect that.
Things just aren't the way it used to be when we played the Pistons. Ever since they made the trade for AI the Pistons seemed to have lost their mojo. I am wondering if they regret that trade now. Pistons used to be our conference rival, but clearly now that has turned into the much hated Celtics. It's just weird to me that Pistons are the number eight seed, it seems like yesterday they were our biggest threat. I hope the Cavs win this series in no less than five games! It can't go to seven games, I am throwing a bridal shower for my friend Leigh (from Cleveland) that day. I don't think a room full of ladies who are drinking punch and applauding Leigh's shower gifts want to hear Leigh and I swear at the TV all afternoon, while throwing down a twelve pack of Miller Light. Let's Go Cavs!
