Today I was thinking about this photo that was taken over the weekend. The Cavs laid a smack down on the Boston Celtics on Easter with the final score being 107-76! This is my older brother Mike and his son Joshua. I bought Josh his first Cavs jersey for Christmas!
I was thinking about my brother and all the let downs he has seen being a Cleveland sports fan. I remember him and my oldest brother Matt crying in my mom's arms in 1987 after the Browns lost to the Denver Broncos during the AFC Championship Game. This game was known as "The Drive". We all know what happened and I won't go there. The memory of my two older brothers balling like babies in my mothers arms is engraved in my head forever. Oh but don't worry she took them roller skating to make them feel better. I know we all have these horrible memories and it's sad to say that things have not gotten any better.
I was thinking about my nephew and how I taught him over the weekend to clap on cue when I chanted "DE-FENSE, DE-FENSE". I want him to grow up and be proud of the 2008/2009 Cleveland Cavaliers. Not only do I want this because it is a dream of mine to see a Cleveland Sports team win a Championship, but I want it for our younger generation. I want things to change and I don't want them go through the pain and misery that we feel, also that we hear so much about from the media and fans from other sports teams that have won championships.
I CAN'T take it anymore!
PLEASE CAVS, LET THIS BE THE YEAR!

Awesome, Mary!
